Sachaqa Centro De Arte - Residency in the Peruvian Amazon

Sachaqa Talk: PART 1

I’m thrilled to share PART 1 of a two-part interview with Trina Sachaqa, the founder of Sachaqa Centro De Arte, an artist residency in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle. In Part 1, you’ll get to know me a little more as I reflect back on my work from 2012 and my transition away from realistic figurative work toward abstraction. I also discuss my painting process and the joys and challenges inherent in working on large scale paintings.
